Happy National Brandy Alexander Day! #BrandyAlexanderDay falls on the last day of January. The original Alexander is made of gin; however, the Brandy Alexander (Alexander #2) made its way onto the scene in the 1920's. To enjoy one yourself as a digestif after dinner cocktail, the recipe is as follows:
- 2 oz. cognac or other fine brandy
- 1 oz. dark crème de cacao
- 1 oz. of half-and-half
( ( ( SHAKE WELL ) ) ) with that GOOD ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish by simply grating some nutmeg on top.
